As I’ve progressed through my new vegan lifestyle, I’ve cut animal products out of things other than my diet. Clothes and shoes where the next thing to change after my diet. No more leather shoes, soles, belts, wallets, or jackets. Also no more wool, I gave up a jacket I had since I was 19, I’m 28 now so I had it for a long time.
Recently I started wondering about the hygiene products I was using Irish Spring (not vegan) and White Rain shampoo. Thankfully, White Rain is a vegan product. See questions 1 and 2 here. They do not test on animals and none of their products contain animal products. I ended up switching to their 3-in-1 Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash. I think it smells really good, It leaves my body feeling clean and my hair soft. I have thick wavy hair. In addition to being vegan and all in one (just 1 bottle in my shower) it only costs $1 at Dollar Tree. You can buy a case of 6 if you don’t have a Dollar Tree nearby.
While the ladies may not be lucky enough to have a 3-in-1 product, my experience is most women don’t like all in ones anyways, White Rain does have a wide variety of vegan friendly products. You can browse through their products on their website. They have shampoo and conditioners, gels, hairspray, and body-wash. I was using their Ocean Mist Shampoo but the ladies might enjoy the Lavender Vanilla scent instead.
For toothpaste, I’ve been using Tom’s of Maine for some time and from what I could find it is vegan. I get this a Big Lot’s for $2.50. I’m going to make a bigger effort to post more often on my blog. For now, new vegan’s can at least bathe and keep their teeth clean in a vegan friendly way.
Apparently, you can also use baking soda. If anyone tries this please leave results in the comments.
Whitney Lauritsen (@ecovegangal) just informed me that White Rain might not contain the best ingredients. See why on Skin Deep.
I like this blog it’s a master piece! Glad I observed this on google.
Superb posting, I share the same views. I wonder why this particular world truly does not picture for a moment like me and also the blog site creator 😀

When I originally left a comment I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I recieve four emails with the exact same comment. Is there a way you are able to remove me from that service? Kudos!
